Your ISO 9001 quality manager — no department needed

Doctilla QM is a conversational AI that helps small businesses build a working quality management system. It maps your actual processes, runs internal audits, and guides root-cause problem solving — all through plain-language conversation. No consultant. No enterprise software. No ISO expertise required.

The problem

You need ISO 9001. You don't have a quality department.

Most quality management software is built for organisations with dedicated compliance teams. If you're an SME, you're stuck with consultants, spreadsheets, or doing nothing — and hoping nobody asks.

Consultants are expensive

A quality consultant costs £500–£1,000+ per day. Most SMEs need ongoing support, not just a one-off write-up — and that adds up fast.

Enterprise QMS is overkill

Qualio, MasterControl, and the rest are built for regulated life-sciences companies. You don't need 47 approval workflows. You need a system that matches how your business actually runs.

DIY compliance is risky

Without someone who knows what ISO 9001 actually requires, it's easy to create documents that look right but wouldn't survive an external audit. Clause numbers get mixed up, evidence gaps get missed, and you only find out when the auditor asks.

What you get

A complete QMS pack, not just documents

Everything Doctilla produces is compiled into a single export — ready for external auditors, tenders, or your own records.

  • Process map — your business functions, macro-processes, and subprocesses in a clear hierarchy
  • Audit report — findings, non-conformities with ISO clause numbers, opportunities for improvement
  • 8D report — structured root-cause analysis with Ishikawa diagram and cause chain
  • Clause map — every process and finding mapped to relevant ISO 9001 clauses
  • Evidence log — indexed records (PO numbers, file metadata) linked to each finding
  • Sign-off & revision history — timestamped changes, locked reports, audit trail

FAQ

Will an external auditor accept this?

The most common question we hear — here's the honest answer.

Will a UKAS-accredited certification body accept a Doctilla-generated QMS pack?

Doctilla helps you build and maintain the documentation your external auditor will check — process maps, internal audit records, 8D reports, evidence logs. The QMS pack is structured to align with ISO 9001:2015 clause requirements. However, Doctilla does not replace your certification body or their audit. The outcome of your external audit depends on whether your documented system reflects how your business actually operates, and whether your team follows it. Doctilla is designed to help you get there, but certification is ultimately determined by your chosen certification body.

Does using AI to build QMS documentation create a risk in an audit?

No — there is no ISO requirement that QMS documentation must be written by a human. Certification bodies care about whether the documentation is accurate, implemented, and effective — not which tool helped produce it. Doctilla is transparent about being an AI assistant, and the outputs are reviewed and owned by you before they're used.

Do I still need a quality manager if I use Doctilla?

Doctilla is designed for businesses that don't have a dedicated quality manager. It guides you through the process and produces the documentation, but someone in your business still needs to own the system — review the outputs, provide evidence, and follow through on corrective actions. Think of Doctilla as your compliance assistant, not a replacement for human accountability.
